Print Media
My journalistic career began when I was ten years of age. It was summer, Germany had just won the soccer World Cup and I wrote an article carrying a cassette recorder, pencil and paper. I learnt all you need to know about the trade that summer - passion, courage and determination. I served my apprenticeship and early days as an editor in a Berlin Broadsheet. Time and again I am reminded of what my chief editor at the time used to say: A good text can t be long enough, because it will be read it to the end! Today I write mostly about literature. Over the years I have been fortunate to meet many authors and glean a small insight into the tools of their trade. Some extracts are enclosed here.
